Beginner Drawing
Students learn the fundamentals of drawing, including line, shape, shading, proportion, and how to observe and draw from real objects.
Watercolor Techniques
Students explore washes, blending, layering, and brush control to create depth, texture, and expressive watercolour paintings.
Portrait Oil Painting
Students learn to paint realistic portraits, including accurate proportions and how to mix lifelike skin tones using oil paints in contemporary and historic techniques.
Mixed Media Exploration
Students experiment with combining different materials such as paint, collage, ink, and texture to create creative, layered artworks.
Pottery & Ceramics
Students learn hand-building techniques such as pinch pots, coil, and slab construction to create functional and decorative ceramic pieces and sculptural forms.
Art Textiles
Students explore fabric techniques including stitching, layering, embellishment, and creating textile-based artworks.
Sculpture with Wire, Card, Paper Mache
Students design and build 3D sculptures using a variety of construction techniques using, chicken wire, card, paper, found objects and fabric.
Oil Pastels
Students explore bold colour application, blending, and texture to create expressive and detailed pastel artwork.
Inks
Students experiment with ink techniques such as washes, mark-making, and expressive drawing using brushes and pens.
Advanced sketching and drawing
Students refine observational drawing skills, focusing on accuracy, tone, perspective, and personal style development.
Sketchbook Development
Students learn how to create creative, thoughtful sketchbooks showing ideas, observations, experiments, and artistic progress.
Portfolio development for university or school scholarship
Students receive guidance to build a strong, personal portfolio that meets entry requirements and showcases their best abilities.
Artist Research - working in the style of an artist
Students study important artists and create their own work inspired by the artist’s techniques and style.
Chalk Pastels
Students learn blending, layering, and colour mixing techniques to create soft, vibrant pastel drawings.
Pen and Ink
Students develop fine line control, shading techniques, and expressive drawing using pen and ink.
Printing – Lino, Mono, Screen Printing and Collagraphic
